1 Peter 5:8 warns us to “be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” Our aim is therefore to provide the tools which should remove or reduce the probability of being devoured.

In some instances, places of worship are operating under the banner of ‘the church’, but they are just ‘a form of’ church. The Ultimate Measuring Stick (TUMS) is endeavouring to expose spirits that are not associated with the true church as God intended, while shining a light on the true church as prescribed in the scriptures.   

Who is a believer, and what does it mean to believe in Jesus Christ? Well it depends on the standard being applied! In this case Christ is the standard; that means He is the only one who determines and qualifies who a believer is. Unfortunately in our christian community today, the impression is often given, that as long as one attends church, plays and sings along to christian/gospel music, etc. then that person is automatically a ‘believer’. This is a lie perpetuated even by ministers who claim to be defenders of the word of God.

TUMS will use the scripture to define who a true believer and follower of Jesus Christ is, by providing the evidence so you can examine and decide for yourself.

TUMS will also serve as a hosting platform for podcast episodes which will be launched at the beginning of summer 2021. The goal of the podcast will be to broadcast engaging and thought-provoking discussions and echo some of the topics addressed on this website, with the ultimate intention being to “proclaim the truth according to scriptures despite resistance from our sinful nature.” We will also be hosting an annual bible summit, bringing pastors, teachers, apostles together, to reaffirm our beliefs and principles of our faith according to the scripture.

False doctrine originated with the wise and prudent, with the devil as the head and architect. We also wrestle with a variety of false doctrine, but we fail to recognise that the devil is the chief and father of them all. Folks, there is one church, and it was started by Jesus Christ; so anything other than what the apostles teach and preach, is false. TUMS will shine a spotlight on the narrow path that leads to life, while exposing the wide and broad road that leads to death (Matthew 7:13-14). We will do this by using scripture in its proper context to illuminate and bring greater and deeper revelation as only the word of God can do (Proverbs 4:18). 

God is not the author of confusion: Therefore, our ultimate goal is that TUMS will truly cause individuals to examine themselves, evaluate their walk with the almighty God, in the spirit of provoking each other to good works (Hebrews 10:24). Finally, that also we as believers in the body of Christ will be united and on one accord on the key principles of the faith, as the scripture says in 1 Corinthians 1:10 “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
